Clay Aiken Solitaire Delight

My Delight

Photobucket

The first time I ran my new montage of Clay Aiken's Solitaire on YouTube it buffered like crazy--until I switched to HQ view, then it ran smooth as silk. Usually if a video is buffering a page refresh fixes it. The large version of it was accidentally uploaded, rather than the smaller one, no wonder it took so long uploading. Guess I can't see to straight so late at night. LOL.
I know Clay's Solitaire has been used hundreds of times for montages--but not by me, until now.

A True Classic story

"As geese flap their wings, they create an uplift for the bird following. By flying together in a V formation the flocks flying range is 71% greater than if any of the birds flew alone.

When we share a common discipline and a sense of community we can get where we are going more quickly and easily because we are travelling on the energy of one another.

Whenever a goose falls out of formation it suddenly finds the drag and resistance of trying to fly alone and quickly gets back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the birds in front.

When we have as much sense as geese, we will stay in formation with those who are headed where we want to go, we will be willing to accept their help as well as give ours to others.

The geese in formation honk to encourage those up front to keep their speed. When the lead goose gets tired, it rotates back into formation and another goose flies at the point position.

When we take turns doing the hard tasks, when we encourage others, we become stronger through shared leadership.

When a goose gets sick or wounded, two geese drop out of formation and follow it down to help and protect it. They stay with it until it is able to fly again or dies. They then launch out on their own to find another formation or to catch up with the flock. When we have learned the value of teamwork, we too will stand by each other in challenging them. Let us fly in formation and remember to drop back to help those who need it."

"There is no limit to what can be accomplished when no cares who gets the credit."

Hey Ashes!!! As always, beautiful blog - love the graphics, SPECTACULAR montage (Clay Aiken owns that song) and puzzles (which I will have to come back to once my Saturday morning brain kicks in)

Thanks so much! Have a great weekend!

Ashes, wonderful blog, as always. I'm particularly enchanted by the Geese analogy. It's exactly what we all do at Chexxxy's Place. We are lined up in formation, creating greater success for our guy and ourselves, as well as supporting those of us who, on occasion, have personal problems.

KUDOS to you for producing a marvelous site, blog after blog.

You did a fantastic job on your montage Joan! The background you used seemed fitting as I listened to Clay sing this song that forever will be noted as one of Clay's signature songs! I'm so excited to see where Decca Records is going to take Clay!! Or should it be where Clay will take Decca Records "g"!
Have a wonderful week!

Hugs,
Sandy

Ashes, your montage is awesome, and the title for your blog is perfect for all of the goodies in it.

Your background is beautiful. It looks similar to the checks I used to have. I was disappointed when they discontinued them.

Thanks for sharing your talents with us! We appreciate you!

Love and hugs,

Barbara

I love the way you're experimenting with your clay blends. Very unusual, and beautiful picture.

I'm glad your video has a little more Clay in it, together with the beautiful ocean. They blend in real good together. lois

Beautiful video. It doesn't matter how many times Solitaire is used in a video, it is always a wonderful song reminding us of our Clay Aiken beginnings back in 2003. Closing eyes and just listening to him sing still affects me. Very nice blog!

Stunning montage! Clay Aiken has stolen that song from Neil Sedaka forever, just as Neil said! It is probably one of the most beautiful songs ever written sung by the most beatiful voice on the planet!! A match made in heaven for the benefit of us all!

I love your blog!

I've always been a puzzle/find the answer kind of person. Thank you for your blog. Clay Aiken's voice is unique, when I hear it, I know immediately it is him. That is very special in the music industry and I wish him the best with his new record contract with Decca/Universal.
