Clay Aiken-The Winner

Photobucket

"As you glide in your stride
With the wind as you fly away
Give a smile from your lips and say
Are you free yes I'm free
Now I'm on my way."

This weekend calls for "Fantasy".
Clay sang this Earth, Wind & Fire song on a guest appearance to American Idol in 2004.

The lyrics are so appropriate!
Clay Aiken's contract with RCA has ended and he's free!

Clay Aiken is setting the record straight: the former American Idol has parted ways with RCA Records, Aiken's rep has confirmed exclusively to PEOPLE.

"We were unable to come to terms in a recent contract negotiation, and decided that it was best to move on," the rep, Cindi Berger, said Friday.

My blogs on Clay The Man are a diary of sorts. They represent some of the things I enjoy, trivial chat most of the time! Do I ever think of anything other than Clay? Of course I do, you don't want to hear about them though!!

This week has been rather exciting with the highlight being President Obama's visit to Canada with Prime Minister Harper. I was glued to the TV set all of yesterday.

Looking at YouTube this morning I found tons of videos on the event.
Here is a five part series of the whole broadcast. Awesome!!

CTV videos of the President Obama/Prime Minister Harper meeting in Ottawa, Feb. 19, 2009

This weekend the stars are out and hopeful they'll take Oscar home with them.

Academy Award nominations for 2008

'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button'
'Frost/Nixon'
'Milk'
'The Reader'
'Slumdog Millionaire'

I admit, I know nothing about the current movies other than recognition of a few of the titles from advertising. I copied these titles from
CNN.com/SPECIALS/2009/academy awards.

My time to watch is when they come to TV.
My popcorn is better and costs less too.

That said, I do often watch the show..to watch the Red Carpet for the fashion parade.

Now--when one of these movie songs is being sung by Clay Aiken, fashion watching will take second place.

Until that time comes, I pass the time with pictures and videos of Clay.

Wow your blogs are looking great as usual! Very nice visual presentation and of course you have the perfect subjects to make this possible! Have still not watched all of Obama's speech, so it is nice to know that you have it all on youtube. I honestly can say that he is about the only politician that I have ever cared to listen to, excluding Kennedy of course. Even when Obama is not talking but only listening, he is so fixated on just the person who is talking and that would make you feel like you are the most important person in the world and not him!

Have a great weekend!

Hugs,
Sandy

So now we have a clue about the things you think about other than Clay . Very interesting . And you always give us a bit of the vox and a peek at the man before signing off . Works for me ! :-)

Have a great weekend .

Hi Ashes!
This is smashing! Love everything you featured here. The funniest moment was when I clicked to see Obama-Harper Part 5, and suddenly...through the speakers, Fantasy came on loud and clear. Ha ha..For a second, I couldn't connect the two and forgot what I was watching.

Thank you for a wonderful blog.

Love,
Sally
