Clay Aiken Sweet Dream Lover

In 1959, Bobby Darin recorded "Dream Lover", a ballad that became a multi-million seller.
I've always loved this song, and Clay does an awesome job singing it.
Thank goodness he brought that voice to us!

What A Day For A Daydream with Clay Aiken

Daydream

daydream ( ) n. A dreamlike musing or fantasy while awake, especially of the fulfillment of wishes or hopes.

Clay Aiken sings Dream Lover

Daydreaming--it's a wonderful way to make a dark day brighter. It's a way to send myself to a tropical island on a cold winter's day, or create a movie in my mind of good things and good friends. These things are better than dwelling on pain! It's a way to put me back in a positive mood when someone or something drags me down with negativity.

I dream when I'm sleeping too, these can be quite adventurous, but usually forget all but bits & pieces. I've tried writing them down, but until I have a cup of coffee or two, holding a pen is out of the question!

Some people are always in a daydream and that isn't a good thing. Real life has to be dealt with, like it or not.
After the necessities have been dealt with..then it's time for a daydream and a leisurely cup of coffee!

This from 2006 is a daydream, one of my earlier blends.

Click to start the player..it's NOT Harvest Moon!

Shine On Harvest Moon
By Nora Bayes and Jack Norworth (1903)

Shine on, shine on harvest moon
Up in the sky,
I ain’t had no lovin’
Since January, February, June or July
Snow time ain’t no time to stay
Outdoors and spoon,
So shine on, shine on harvest moon,
For me and my gal.

The Spirit of Fall has overcome me...

The Harvest Moon--what is it??

The Harvest Moon is a full moon that graces our skies each autumn. It’s the name for the full moon nearest the autumnal equinox. (September 23, 2007) In the northern hemisphere, look for the Harvest Moon to appear in September or October. (This year-2007-it's September 26-the closest to the equinox)

Why the name Harvest Moon? It’s more than just a connection to the season of harvest. In fact, nature is particularly cooperative during the months of autumn to make the Harvest Moon useful to farmers.

Here’s what happens. The moon generally rises about 50 minutes later each day. But near the time of the autumnal equinox, the moon rises only about 30 minutes later each day. Why? The reason is that – in autumn – the ecliptic or path of the sun, moon and planets makes a narrow angle with the evening horizon. The moon’s path in autumn creates a shorter-than-usual rising time between successive moonrises.

The shorter-than-usual time between moonrises means there is no long period of darkness between sunset and moonrise . . .

So, in the days before tractor lights, the autumn full moon helped farmers bringing in their crops. As the sun’s light faded in the west, the full moon would rise in the east to illuminate the fields for several more hours of work. Hence the name Harvest Moon.

About a year ago I found this good advice on a non-Clay board. During the recent MB upheaval I couldn't find which folder I saved it the last time I organized my files..found it by accident, so better late than never! It's worth saving.

Trolls post things for the sole purpose of getting people riled up. They might post something really obnoxious, maybe using profanity; or wild fabricated rumors; or something that will serve no purpose other than to offend or get people angry. It can be hard not to respond; but a response is what they are after. The only way to get them to go away is to completely ignore them.

A troll isn't someone stating an unpopular opinion in a reasonable tone. A troll is someone deliberately coming in and saying whatever they can to get people all upset. The goal for the troll is the upset, not to state an opinion.

What to look for:
- swearing
- ridiculous statements about anything that are designed to get a rise out of people
- name calling
- deliberately, really hurtful statements about a person

And REMEMBER, you must completely ignore them....no faces, no words, no nothing. Saying anything to them ensures they'll stay. If possible, don't even read their post.

It takes the whole village to starve a troll so please don't feed the trolls!!
